Want to create interesting shots with a new perspective? Why not rise above the crowd and use an extension pole to capture the world at a different angle. This technique is called PAP (Pole Aerial Photography) or PAV (Pole Aerial Video).
Recently I read an interesting tip from venerable video master Bill Myers (http://www.bmyers.com) on how to construct a tall mono-pod, camera support. He didn’t come up with the idea, but showed a fellow who was using one to create great pictures and videos with a bird’s eye view. At first glance, you wonder how in the world did he create such shots, then it is very obvious and simple. The fellow sells his shots to Realtors, news organizations and other interested parties.
